ಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ಎ೦ದೆ೦ದಿಗೆ ತನುಗಳು ಕೊರತಿಲ್ಲ
ಸಾವು ಹುಟ್ಟು ಎ೦ಬೊ ಸಹಜ ಲೋಕದೊಳಗೆ
ಕಾಲಕಾಲದಿ ಹರಿ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಗುಣಗಳ
ಕೇಳದವನ ಜನ್ಮ ವ್ಯರ್ಥ ಪುರಂದರ ವಿಠಲ
Ayussu iddare annakke koratilla |
Jivakke endendige tanugalu koratilla |
Saavu huttu embo sahaja lokadolage |
Kaalakaaladi hari kalyaanagunagala |
Keladavana janma vyartha Purandara Vithala ||
If destiny favours life, then there is no lack of food.
After death, there is no dearth of bodies for a soul.
In this mortal world where life and death form a natural course.
But the life of that human whose time is not spent in listening to the exquisite infinte auspicious attributes of Lord Hari is indeed a life that is considered worthless
